Job description

  • Support, maintain, and troubleshoot reports, business applications, user interfaces, forms, T-SQL database queries, stored-procedures and functions and any other related business software.
  • Provide end-users with training and assistance with business applications as well as any computer-related issues.
  • Assist in maintaining database performance, security and integrity.
  • Assist with data backup and recovery functions.
  • Assist in implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer systems and networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead in the creation, implementation, training, maintenance and troubleshooting of customized data reporting projects
  • Quickly resolve computer-related issues and assist end users in effectively using business software applications, interpreting reports and verifying results and data integrity in the database
  • Manage and install computer hardware and software as needed
  • Evaluate department work methods and make recommendations to improve performance and quality of work, by introducing new or improved reporting tools or business applications
  • Create and maintain manuals and standard operating procedures for new and existing projects
  • Assist in maintaining organization’s website as needed
  • Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, and appearance; understanding the necessity for dependability, punctuality, regular and reliable attendance, and integrity of work.

Requirements

Do you have experience in T-SQL?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for educational degree., * Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for educational degree.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of recent, full-work experience working with MS SQL databases (SQL Server 2008 and above)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong working knowledge of T-SQL is required (complex queries, stored procedures, functions etc.)
  • Experience with programming languages ( C#, VB, ASP.NET, HTML ) a plus
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system and its core functionality.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • General understanding of computer networks (Client/Server, Internet/Intranet)
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Organize and plan work effectively
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, dependability and self-motivation
  • Ability to work effectively with internal staff, other county employees and users from the generic public
  • Commitment to provide exceptional public service, * Bachelor’s (Preferred)
