Design Engineer

• Evaluate and inspect used machine equipment and establish repair strategies
• Participate in equipment disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly activities
• Measure bearing fits, interference fits, tapered fits, and other critical dimensions
• Reverse engineer components and develop repair recommendations
• Create repair proposals, project budgets, and schedules with customers
• Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and design layouts using SolidWorks
• Create shop travelers and Bills of Materials for production and purchasing
• Provide technical support to manufacturing throughout the build and repair process
• Monitor project performance related to quality, budget, and schedule
• Collaborate with customers and internal departments to ensure successful project execution
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements

Do you have experience in Productivity software?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Minimum of 5 years of experience with industrial mechanical equipment in design, quality, or assembly

• Proficiency with SolidWorks
• Understanding of AWS welding symbols and their application
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience creating detailed drawings and design layouts
• Ability to create Bills of Materials and specifications for purchased components
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes, * Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of relevant experience considered
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation, * 3+ years of SolidWorks experience?
• 5+ years of industrial mechanical equipment experience?
