Job description
Communications systems, associated algorithms, and their design, including an understanding of RF filters, signal modulation/demodulation, channel equalization/channel estimation, channel coding (FEC), RF signal acquisition and recovery, RF frequency control (AFC), and RF gain control (AGC) Mixed signal requirements including quantization and algorithm fixed point implementations. MATLAB, Python, or X-MIDAS tools used for algorithm design / validation and test vector generation Vivado design and simulation tools for FPGA architecture design and HDL implementation of signal processing algorithms
Requirements
5 years+ experience designing FPGA solutions BS Electrical Engineering or similar field, Master’s degree preferred Embedded software development and interfacing with FPGAs in tightly coupled processor configurations (such as Zynq MPSoCs / RFSoCs) Hardware peripheral programming and control for both digital and analog devices FPGA build scripts using TCL/Make within virtualized environments such as Docker
