Job description

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior Core Java Developer on behalf of our client in New York City, NY. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced software engineer to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance enterprise applications supporting critical financial services platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern Java development, microservices architecture, and cloud-ready application design, along with experience working in fast-paced Agile environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications supporting multiple business functions. Build, enhance, and support Spring Boot microservices and secure RESTful APIs. Develop efficient and reliable data solutions using relational and NoSQL databases. Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across business and technology functions. Ensure applications meet performance, security, compliance, and quality standards. Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions. Contribute to technical architecture discussions and mentor junior team members when needed. Follow Agile development practices and SDLC best practices throughout the project lifecycle. Required Qualifications, Experience supporting large-scale distributed systems and enterprise applications. Requirements

8+ years of professional software development experience. Strong hands-on experience with Java 11+. Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture. Proven expertise in developing RESTful APIs. Strong experience with SQL databases and NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch. Experience using AI-assisted developer productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amp, or similar platforms. Solid understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and application architecture. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working within Agile development environments and SDLC processes. Preferred Qualifications Experience with application performance tuning and observability tools. Background working in Financial Services, FinTech, Banking, or other regulated industries. Knowledge of enterprise security, authentication, and authorization frameworks.
