Job description

We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Senior Consultant (Skill Level 5) to provide advanced cybersecurity expertise, compliance oversight, and system authorization support for complex government IT environments. This role requires deep understanding of security tools, RMF processes, enclave security, and technical documentation. The Senior Consultant will lead major phases of enterprise security projects, coordinate with system owners and administrators, and provide specialized solutions to complex IT security challenges., * Serve as a consultant in highly specialized and emerging information security technologies

  • Provide advanced guidance for secure automated solutions and complex information processing issues
  • Conduct detailed analyses, develop studies, generate reports, and deliver technical presentations
  • Lead medium to large security focused projects and major phases of enterprise authorization efforts
  • Manage government-directed project work and ensure compliance with required security frameworks
  • Provide specialized technical solutions to complex IT and cybersecurity problems

Technical & Security Responsibilities

  • Work with hardware/software security implementation, encryption tools, and secure communication protocols
  • Update hardware/software inventories and maintain configuration change logs
  • Support Secure The Enterprise (STE) and Secure The Network (STN) activities
  • Use LatteArt and Gatekeeper for RMF and compliance processes
  • Review XACTA notices and support ongoing documentation updates
  • Complete SEAR audit log entries
  • Review and address POAM items for IAVA vulnerabilities
  • Coordinate remediation efforts with system owners and system administrators
  • Perform System Security Plan (SSP) updates and related RMF documentation tasks
  • Review vulnerability scans; work with stakeholders to address and mitigate findings
  • Support and respond to computer incident security reports
  • Begin authorization packages for new systems and re authorization of legacy systems under RMF guidance

Requirements

  • Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph - No Exceptions
  • High School Diploma/GED with 20 years of relevant experience, OR
  • Associate’s degree with 15 years of relevant experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience
  • Must have one IAM Level I certification (CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE, HCISPP)
