Job description

  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria. This includes ability to translate strategic intent from the Product Manager into executable backlog without losing the why.
  • Collaborate closely with multiple Product Managers, engineering, architecture, and design teams to ensure feasibility and technical alignment.
  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clarity on priorities, scope, and expectations.
  • Support the product vision, and drive the roadmap and delivery in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Make data-driven decisions using strong analytical skills and performance metrics.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure timely delivery of product increments in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities within product development cycles.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Product Owner to lead product development initiatives within a fast-paced, agile environment. Candidate must be local to the Philadelphia area as it is expected to be at the client’s office 3 times a week. This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge business needs and technical execution, ensuring that the product delivers maximum value to customers and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical abilities and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across product and engineering teams., Core Product Ownership Skills:

  • Prior experience on platforms, shared services, or enablement layers
  • Ability to reason about capabilities vs. features (e.g., ā€œcontext ingestionā€ vs. ā€œa specific use caseā€)
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience managing complex backlogs with many external consumers and ability to prioritize work based on dependency readiness.

Technical & Analytical Expertise:

  • Experience working with event data, signals, or telemetry; Context models, profiles, or states; Data pipelines or ingestion patterns (at a PO level, not engineering depth)
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical requirements and system architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams on technical products.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate needs, priorities, and expectations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across product, engineering, and business teams.
  • Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
  • Clear communicator who can translate strategy into backlog and technical constraints back into scope tradeoffs
  • Confidence pushing back on over-coupled designs and premature optimization

Work Environment Adaptability:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills., * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification preferred.
  • Experience with telecom platforms, APIs, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
