Job description
Apexis is seeking ambitious security engineer to help us manage our amazing growth trajectory. As a Apexis security engineer, you will collaborate closely with both our field team and our internal teams to deliver outstanding client service and respond to a variety of customer requests with both speed and accuracy. Primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Provide customers with technical support including but not limited to: use of analytical skills, new implementations, troubleshooting & maintenance, education, and preparing support documentation and deliverables to customers
- Business and technical communication skills are essential for interfacing with clients’ engineering and management teams
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Flexible, organized, and able to multitask
- Occasional travel to customer sites within the US as needed
- Obtain new technical certifications as needed to stay up to date on the latest security technologies
- Manage customer expectations and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot customer issues for Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cylance, Mimecast, and other solutions as needed
Requirements
Do you have experience in Customer communication?, * 7-8 years of relevant TCP/IP networking and IT Security experience
- Strong Linux/Unix and Windows Server knowledge
- Network experience with Windows, UNIX and/or LINUX based operating systems
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Next Generation Firewall and Endpoint Solutions
- Experience with TCP/IP and common TCP/UDP protocols at the packet level
- Working knowledge of DNS, DCHP, VRRP/HSRP, VOIP (H.323, SIP, MGCP) and working knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF & BGP
- Experience with Core dump/Kernal Panic Analysis
- Experience providing support to customers, resellers, O&M, and field personnel in order to resolve product related issues
- Check Point CCSA certification required and (CCSE is a plus)
- Palo Alto Experience is a plus
- Meraki Experience is a plus
