Job description
This role in the UK Business IT Cloud Team puts you at the heart of delivering and supporting secure, high-performance cloud and hybrid platforms that power critical business services. You’ll tackle complex technical challenges, ensure seamless service continuity, and drive meaningful improvements that directly enhance customer experience. By championing innovation, collaboration, and customer-first thinking, you’ll help shape reliable, forward-looking cloud services that enable shared success across the organisation., * Resolve complex customer issues escalated from second line, using strong problem-solving and technical expertise.
- Plan and deliver complex changes successfully first time, ensuring service continuity across a wide range of products.
- Manage services and support solution design for both existing and new contracts, meeting tight SLAs (typically within 2 hours).
- Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers to build strong relationships and ensure smooth service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement through knowledge sharing, coaching, self-development, and informed decision-making that balances customer and business needs.
Requirements
Do you have experience in vCenter?, Please note you must either hold or be eligible for SC (Security Clearance) & NPPV3 for this role, which will require a minimum of 5 years working history in the UK to be eligible., * Customer-focused with a proactive, preventative approach to delivering high-quality service
- Able to analyse complex issues, think logically, and understand different perspectives
- Experienced in working to and meeting strict service level agreements
- Skilled across Windows systems, virtualisation (VMware, Nutanix), storage (HP 3Par, NetApp), and Microsoft cloud technologies (Azure, Office 365, Intune, SCCM, Entra ID)
- Knowledgeable in cybersecurity tools, automated patching (Ivanti, WSUS), and backup and recovery solutions such as Commvault
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Proven experience administering Windows Server and desktop operating systems, including patching and automation using tools such as Ivanti and WSUS
- Experience with virtualisation platforms including VMware vCenter/ESXi and Nutanix AHV, supported by Nutanix NCA 6.5/6.10
- Knowledge of cloud and identity management within Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and PIM, aligned with Microsoft Azure AZ104
- Experience managing enterprise technologies including Office 365, Intune, SCCM, Citrix, and backup solutions such as Commvault
- Familiarity with storage and security technologies including HP 3PAR, NetApp SANs, Infoblox, and working within ITIL V4/V5 best practice frameworks
