Job description

Based in the UK Business IT Cloud Team, this role provides 2nd line support for cloud and hybrid infrastructure, ensuring secure, stable platforms for customer and internal services. It focuses on resolving escalated issues, maintaining service continuity, and delivering changes in line with agreed service levels to support business outcomes and customer experience. The role also prioritises customer needs, supports continuous improvement, and works with wider teams to keep services reliable, secure, and fit for purpose., * Diagnose and resolve escalated technical issues from first line using structured troubleshooting and logical analysis

  • Deliver fixes and changes in line with agreed processes and service level targets to maintain stability
  • Support live services and onboarding activities, ensuring continuity and timely incident resolution
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers while managing a balance of planned and reactive workContribute to continuous improvement through knowledge sharing, skills development, and informed day-to-day decision-making

Requirements

Do you have experience in vCenter?, Please note you must either hold or be eligible for SC (Security Clearance) & NPPV 3 Clearance for this role, which will require a minimum of 5 years working history in the UK to be eligible., * Demonstrates accountability and takes responsibility for actions and outcomes

  • Focuses on customer needs and aims to deliver proactive, high-quality service
  • Applies logical thinking to understand and work through complex challenges
  • Works collaboratively across teams and supports shared goals and outcomesDelivers against service level agreements, including in challenging or high-pressure situations

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience administering Windows Server and desktop operating systems
  • Experience managing virtualisation platforms such as VMware vCenter/ESXi and Nutanix AHV
  • Experience supporting enterprise storage solutions including HP 3PAR and NetApp SANs
  • Experience working with Microsoft and cloud technologies such as Office 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, SCCM, and Citrix
  • Experience supporting security, patching, and backup solutions including Infoblox, Ivanti, WSUS, and Commvault
