Job description

Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js
Build reusable, maintainable, and high-performance frontend and backend solutions
Design and implement APIs and integrations with internal and external services
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making
Optimise application performance, reliability, and scalability
Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code following engineering best practices
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality features
Conduct code reviews and contribute to maintaining high engineering standards
Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate development, improve productivity, and automate repetitive tasks
Evaluate and validate AI-generated code and recommendations to ensure maintainability and security
Continuously improve development processes and promote efficient engineering practices across the team
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, AI advancements, and industry trends

Requirements

Do you have experience in TypeScript?, * Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript

Extensive experience with Next.js and React, including Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), and App Router
Strong experience with Node.js and backend application development
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services
Solid understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimisation techniques
Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
Experience with authentication and authorisation mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, session-based authentication)
Understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and scalable application development
Experience with Git workflows, code reviews, and collaborative development practices
Experience with testing frameworks and writing unit and integration tests
Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines

AI & Productivity

Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar solutions
Ability to leverage AI tools for code generation, debugging, documentation, and test creation
Experience using AI to improve development workflows and automate repetitive engineering tasks
Understanding of the limitations, risks, and best practices of AI-assisted development
Ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs and ensure code quality, maintainability, and security
