Job description

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Sweater Designer to bring fresh, stylish, and comfortable knitwear concepts to life. In this dynamic role, you will craft unique sweater designs that blend creativity with technical expertise, ensuring each piece aligns with current fashion trends and brand identity. Your keen eye for detail, mastery of design software, and understanding of garment construction will drive the development of high-quality sweaters that captivate our target audience.   • Create detailed sketches and technical illustrations using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other design tools.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to translate designs into prototypes, considering fabric choices, color palettes, and garment construction techniques.
  • Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to develop accurate technical specifications for manufacturing.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through sample development, fitting, and final production.
  • Conduct market research within fashion retail and styling to ensure designs meet consumer preferences and merchandising standards.
  • Stay informed about textile innovations, color theory, and sewing techniques to enhance design quality and functionality.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Teamwork?, * Proven experience in fashion design with a focus on knitwear or sweater collections.

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for digital sketching and presentation.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for technical pattern making and garment construction documentation.
  • Knowledge of garment construction processes, sewing machines, and textile selection.
  • Experience managing product lifecycle processes within fashion retail or merchandising environments.
  • Ability to illustrate concepts clearly through hand-drawing or digital means; experience in graphic design is a plus.
  • Understanding of fashion styling principles, color theory, and fabric behavior to create compelling designs that resonate with target audiences.
