Job description

Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced L3 Support Tech - Deskside Support to support enterprise-wide infrastructure, production systems, and manufacturing technology environments. This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting critical IT infrastructure, production networks, telecommunications systems, server environments, and plant-floor technologies that directly impact manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience supporting enterprise infrastructure within a manufacturing environment, and the ability to respond effectively to production-critical incidents. This position requires a hands-on professional who can support infrastructure operations, coordinate with vendors, maintain documentation, and participate in on-call support activities. What You’ll Be Doing Infrastructure Operations

  • Perform pre-shift checks across server, storage, network, and infrastructure environments for multiple shifts.
  • Support server and network infrastructure installations, refreshes, and break/fix activities.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance activities related to power and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of plant-floor networks, telecom infrastructure, and data center environments.
  • Perform monthly wireless network audits and remediation activities.
  • Monitor infrastructure alerts, network monitoring systems, and production support channels.
  • Monitor communication platforms for issues impacting production operations.

Network, Power & Cabling Support

  • Coordinate installation and repair of network drops and power connections.
  • Support approved infrastructure changes and change management activities.
  • Perform telecom room inspections, including power, temperature, and environmental checks.
  • Troubleshoot network and telecommunications equipment.
  • Install switches, activate ports, and support network maintenance activities.
  • Conduct hardware readiness and validation checks prior to equipment moves, additions, or changes.
  • Execute hot-swap procedures on mission-critical equipment.

Administration & User Support

  • Provide escalation support for production support teams and critical incidents.
  • Manage user administration activities, including file and folder access requests.
  • Conduct inventory audits of IT equipment and infrastructure assets.
  • Support priority service restoration activities and countermeasure implementation.
  • Assist with enterprise support services as required.

Vendor & Site Coordination

  • Escort vendors throughout data centers, computer rooms, and production facilities during maintenance and installation activities.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance with vendors and internal teams.
  • Provide onsite support for incidents, changes, and troubleshooting activities requiring hands-on assistance.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Create, maintain, and standardize operational documentation and procedures.
  • Ensure documentation is reviewed and approved according to established standards.
  • Create and submit change requests for infrastructure and site activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, configurations, and support processes.

Project Support

  • Support infrastructure deployments, application implementations, equipment refreshes, and server rack installations.
  • Assist with system upgrades and site improvement initiatives.
  • Support planned maintenance activities during non-production periods and facility shutdowns.

On-Call Responsibilities Incident Response & Monitoring

  • Serve as the first point of contact for production and infrastructure escalations.
  • Monitor infrastructure alerting systems, communication channels, and incident management tools.
  • Respond to priority incidents and follow established escalation procedures.
  • Provide on-call support for production operations, weekend activities, and critical infrastructure incidents.

Operational Support

  • Provide onsite support for incidents and infrastructure activities requiring hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Support planned non-production activities, including facility shutdowns and maintenance events.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Wireless networking?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.

  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, telecommunications, servers, and data center operations.
  • Experience troubleshooting switches, wireless networks, cabling, and connectivity issues.
  • Experience supporting Windows-based enterprise environments.
  • Understanding of change management and incident management processes.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience supporting production-critical systems and operations.
  • Ability to work weekends, off-shifts, and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Added Bonus)

  • Experience supporting manufacturing or automotive production environments.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as PRTG, DNAC, Nagios, SCOM, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with server, storage, and virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and data center operations.
  • Experience supporting plant-floor technologies and industrial networks.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft certifications.
