Job description

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead to drive enterprise data governance initiatives within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in healthcare data standards, regulatory compliance, metadata management, data quality, and governance frameworks. This role will partner with business, clinical, analytics, and technology teams to ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance across the organization., * Lead and execute enterprise data governance programs and initiatives.

Establish and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
Define and manage data stewardship processes across business domains.
Partner with stakeholders to improve data quality, metadata management, and data lineage.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA, HITECH, and CMS requirements.
Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to support healthcare interoperability initiatives.
Utilize governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or similar platforms.
Facilitate governance councils and cross-functional working groups.
Develop and maintain data dictionaries, business glossaries, and governance documentation.
Monitor governance metrics and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Stakeholder relationship building?, * 8+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Healthcare Data roles.

2+ years in a Lead or Senior capacity.
Strong understanding of healthcare data standards:
HL7 FHIR
ICD-10
SNOMED CT
LOINC
Experience with healthcare regulatory frameworks:
HIPAA
HITECH
CMS
Hands-on experience with data governance platforms such as:
Collibra
Alation
Informatica
Advanced SQL skills.
Experience working with:
EHR systems
Claims data
ADT data
Laboratory systems
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills., * Experience leading enterprise data governance transformations.
Knowledge of healthcare analytics and interoperability initiatives.
Experience with data quality, metadata management, and master data management programs.
