Senior Instructional System Specialist (ISS)

About the Role: Global Security Services is seeking a highly experienced Senior Instructional System Specialist to support a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) initiative. In this role, you will lead the development and maintenance of web-based self-help mental health programs for Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, caregivers, and their families. You will manage all phases of the ADDIE process (analysis, instructional design and development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance) to create highly interactive, self-paced training courses., * Develop courseware utilizing an HTML5 Responsive Design format to ensure cross-device compatibility.

• Draft, review, and finalize highly detailed course storyboards, ensuring instructional materials are written at no higher than an 8th-grade reading level.
• Design and implement student interactivities that function at a minimum of a Level 3 of interactivity.
• Ensure all courseware is fully compliant with VA Section 508 accessibility standards and VA Enterprise Web Infrastructure Support (EWIS) policies.
• Collaborate in weekly production meetings and monthly strategic meetings with VA Program Team members and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

Do you have experience in Web development?, Do you have a Bachelor of Science?, * Education: B.S./B.A. degree.

• Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of experience performing instructional design work of similar size and complexity.
• Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with HTML-5 design and 508 compliance standards.
• Certifications: Must hold an active certification such as the ATD (Association for Talent Development) Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), ATD Master Instructional Designer, or an exact equivalent.
• Security: Must successfully pass a Tier 1 (NACI) background check to obtain VA network access (no access to Veterans’ Personal Health Information is required).
• Prior experience in project management or leading cross-functional teams is highly desirable.
