Job description

Numerator is seeking a Data Scientist to join our growing Data team, working on an established platform that processes massive amounts of proprietary data. This high-impact role centers on supporting and improving our calibration system - a core component that ensures our data outputs are accurate, consistent, and representative of real-world behavior.

You’ll contribute to data science systems across multiple SaaS products with end-to-end influence, emphasizing applied problem solving, data investigation, and system improvement. How You’ll Spend Your Time

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of data science systems, with a focus on calibration methodologies and workflows

  • Investigate and analyze data to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement

  • Build and enhance metrics, reporting, and monitoring to better understand system performance

  • Collaborate across Product, Data, and Engineering teams to deliver data-driven solutions

  • Support integration and validation of new data sources and system changes

  • Execute on projects involving data analysis and statistical methods

  • Communicate results, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders

Requirements

  • BS or advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or another quantitative field

  • 2-5 years of industry experience in a data science or analytics role

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with Python

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience working with large and complex datasets

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Experience with AI skills and process-building is a plus; interest in building with these tools a must
