Job description
Lives within commutable distance from Redford Township (Detroit) MI. What city do you live in? Work onsite daily CCNA minimum, CCNP desired, CCIE ideal; what active cert do you have? Provide copy of your certs. * Strong Route/Switch technical understanding * Hands-on Cisco Routers, Switches, etc. * CLI config, installs, testing, troubleshooting, monitoring, maintenance, moves/adds/ changes (Level 2 or L3) * Service as L2 or L3 escalation engineer to resolve operational issues. * Some hands on Firewalls, VPN, NAT, DNS, DHCP, etc. * High level device Security, ACLs, VLAN, Policies, etc. * Understand device security best practices * Used monitoring tools such as: Splunk, Solarwinds, Wireshark, etc. * Monitor network performance proactively Deep understanding of OSI model, TCP/IP stack * Understands Change Management process, config standards for hardware * Install and configure devices following change control Verify, update network related documentation, SOPs Clear English communication skills, able to articulate issues with end users or others. Able to write clearly & concise Liaison between IT & OT departments, team members Experience with Manufacturing or Industrial processes, OT or ICS knowledge Able to lead Jr engineers and provide guidance. Ability to handle project management related activities Able to walk distances within manufacturing floors
