Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate SDE I to join our team at Kognitiv Edge. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our software infrastructure and source code, contributing to various cloud-native and on-premise projects. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and make a significant impact in a fast-paced start-up environment., * Work closely with the rest of the development team to introduce creative solutions during the development, testing, and deployment processes.

  • Collaborate in the creation and maintenance of source control repositories and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop and integrate new API connections.
  • Contribute to the development and management of ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) data ingestion processes and data visualization dashboards.
  • Create and alter IAC (Infrastructure as Code) to provision cloud infrastructure.
  • Support the development of full-stack applications including using role-based access, login functionalities, and Microsoft integrations.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Version control?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, * Note: Relevant internships or coursework material might suffice for experience requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, MIS, or a related field OR meets all other requirements and has at least 2 years programming experience and 2 years as a developer in cloud environment.
  • 1-2 years of experience in any of the following: Python, Java, Typescript, Javascript, C#. Must understand Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
  • Azure 1-2 years’ experience OR AWS 2-3 years’ experience back end or full stack developer in cloud environment.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in DevOps (CI/CD, Git Source Control)
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Infrastructure as Code (IAC) OR can prove DevOps knowledge
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) OR can prove relational & non-relational database knowledge.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic understanding of cloud environments and architecture principles
  • Experience with non-relational data storage
  • Experience with Git source control and general CI/CD practices
  • Able to utilize and navigate command line interface
  • Understanding of API development
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming and some scripting, * This is a full time in-office position. Are you able to work in office full time?
  • Will you be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance?
  • Are you willing to take a drug test, in accordance with local law/regulations?
  • Are you willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations?
