Job description

We’re recruiting on behalf of one of the largest and most respected building and infrastructure companies in the United States, for Superintendents to join its data-centre and mission-critical division on ground-up projects across Northern Virginia.

The schedules move fast, downtime isn’t an option, and the standards sit a level above the market. If you’re a strong field leader with 5-12 years under your belt who wants to build the most technically demanding projects in the industry, and grow while you do it, this is where you do it.

What you’ll do

  • Lead day-to-day field operations across self-performed and subcontracted work
  • Set the tone on safety and quality, running regular inspections and holding all trades to company, contract, and OSHA standards
  • Plan and sequence the work, manage jobsite logistics, and track materials and personnel
  • Own the project schedule - build it, keep it current, and stay on top of critical milestones with all stakeholders
  • Mentor and develop your team into a high-functioning unit
  • Work fluently from the owner contract, subcontracts, and vendor agreements
  • Support general conditions, project cost tracking, and project KPIs
  • Drive close-out - punch list and building operations training
  • Solve the obstacles and conflicts that come with fast-track work, on the fly

Requirements

Do you have experience in Employee relationship building?, * 5-12 years of commercial / ground-up construction experience (data centre or mission-critical a strong plus)

  • A degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a related field - or equivalent experience on the tools
  • A field leader on the way up - someone the business can develop into its next senior superintendents
  • Solid grasp of scheduling, contract administration, and quality control on complex jobs
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and applicable building regulations
  • Comfortable with the standard platforms: Procore, PlanGrid, FieldWire, Bluebeam, and P6
  • Based in or open to relocating to the Virginia area

Pay: $115,000 - $160,000 base plus vehicle/allowance, per diem on travel jobs, and bonus.
