Job description

  • Develop and modify HFC and fiber network designs using Iris or Magellan.
  • Interpret and apply construction documents, engineering standards, and client specifications.
  • Prepare design packages, drawings, and supporting documentation for construction teams.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report on project data.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure constructability and compliance.
  • Review and verify design accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned in order to meet Company objectives.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical documentation?, The HFC/Fiber Network Designer is responsible for the creation of hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) and fiber network design, with proficiency in Iris and related design tools. This role requires technical expertise, accuracy, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality network designs., * 1-2 years proven experience with Iris or Magellan required.

  • Hands-on experience in HFC and fiber network design required.
  • Ability to work and train remotely.
  • Strong knowledge of construction drawings and documentation required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting required.
  • Previous telecom or utility design experience.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes and regional design standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills., * FC and Fiber Network Design: 1 year (Required)
