Job description
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Hardware Systems Engineer to lead the design and delivery of ruggedized control modules for advanced industrial applications. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of complex hardware, ensuring robust power management, reliable communication pathways, and high-performance compute integration. Responsibilities
- Architect and document comprehensive hardware systems, including power distribution, compute modules, and high-speed communication interfaces.
- Select and integrate critical components such as MCUs, MPU SOMs, Ethernet switches, and motor drivers to meet system requirements.
- Lead the end-to-end schematic capture and provide expert guidance on PCB layout to ensure signal integrity and EMC compliance.
- Execute system bring-up and validation, focusing on power sequencing, CAN FD bus diagnostics, and 1000BASE-T1 Ethernet performance.
- Implement safety-critical control logic to ensure system reliability and graceful degradation during component failures.
- Develop production-ready documentation, including detailed BOMs, power budgets, and comprehensive interface control specifications.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SoC?, * Extensive experience designing end-to-end power trees, including buck converters and LDOs.
- Proven track record in industrial networking, specifically with CAN FD and Single Pair Ethernet (1000BASE-T1).
- Strong proficiency in SoC integration, including MPU SOM carrier board design and MCU-based real-time control.
- Expertise in multi-layer PCB design for high-speed signals, high current paths, and EMI mitigation.
- Deep understanding of hardware safety features like watchdogs, UVLO, OVP, and reverse polarity protection., * Familiarity with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508.
- Experience with galvanic isolation techniques and thermal analysis for motor-driven loads.
- Proficiency in Linux driver bring-up and complex boot sequencing with PMICs.
- Background in designing automated production test fixtures and boundary scan strategies.
