Job description

  • Provide end-user technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues.
  • Assist in setting up and configuring new systems and user accounts.
  • Maintain an inventory of all hardware and software resources.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to enhance user experience and IT service delivery.

Ethernet Cable Installation:

  • Install, terminate, and test Ethernet cables in various environments.
  • Organize and manage cabling to ensure a safe and efficient network infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and repair any issues related to network cabling.
  • Maintain documentation of network cabling layouts and modifications.

Networking:

  • Assist in the maintenance and administration of network systems.
  • Support network connectivity for all users, including troubleshooting of network devices like routers, switches, and Wi-Fi access points.
  • Help implement network security measures.
  • Participate in network infrastructure projects under the guidance of senior staff.

Requirements

Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, We are seeking a dynamic and proactive part-time Desktop Support and Network Technician to join our IT team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about technology, eager to develop hands-on experience in desktop support, Ethernet cable installation, and networking. We are looking for techs that have some experience or schooling., * Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.

  • Experience in Ethernet cabling and familiarity with network devices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) is a plus.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; ongoing or completed college degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Benefits & conditions

Work Hours:

  • Part-time schedule, including weekends and evenings as required.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
