Job description
Texas Cyber Command requires the services of 1 Support Technician 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Support Technician 3, Technical Services, Help Desk and Operations and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Cyber Command. All work products resulting from the project shall be considered āworks made for hireā and are the property of the Texas Cyber Command and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Texas Cyber Command will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).
- Provide on-site front-door IT support for TXCC staff, executives, contractors, and visitors at the San Antonio office. Support laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, conference rooms, collaboration tools, printers, network connectivity, user onboarding and offboarding, account and access coordination, asset inventory, equipment moves, and break/fix coordination.
- Resolve or triage service requests, document work in the approved ticketing process, maintain user-facing knowledge articles, coordinate with systems, network, security, and vendor support teams, and provide executive-priority support during business hours. Assist with meeting room readiness, video and audio support, staff training, and routine technology checks.

Support device deployment, refresh, relocation, secure disposal coordination, loaner equipment, incident-related collection support, and after-hours maintenance windows when approved by TXCC., Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the Texas Cyber Command. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed. The primary work location(s) will be at TXCC Austin NSOC 1001 W North Loop Blvd, Austin, TX 78752. The working position is On Site. Any and all travel, per diem, parking, and/or living expenses shall be at the Candidateās and/or Vendorās expense. Texas Cyber Command will provide pre-approved, written authorization for travel for any services to be performed away from the primary work location(s). Pre-approved travel expenses are limited to the rates and comply with the rules prescribed by the State of Texas for travel by its classified employees, including any requirement for original receipts. The Candidate(s) may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested. Payment for work over 40 hours will be at the hourly rate quoted and must be coordinated and pre-approved through Texas Cyber Command. V. OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Candidate must be a U.S. citizen, pass required background checks, complete required cybersecurity, privacy, and operational training before gaining system access, and comply with TXCC security and data-handling requirements. Occasional after-hours support may be required with TXCC approval. Work must be performed from within the United States unless TXCC grants prior written approval. Requirements
Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity. Years Required/Preferred Experience 8 Required Experience providing onsite IT support, desktop support, endpoint support, or field support in an enterprise or government environment. 5 Required Experience troubleshooting laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, printers, operating systems, collaboration tools, network connectivity, and user access issues. 3 Required Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, mobile device management, endpoint security, or equivalent collaboration and endpoint platforms. 3 Required Experience using ticketing, asset inventory, knowledge management, service documentation, and customer communications practices. 3 Required Experience supporting executive users, meeting rooms, audio/video collaboration equipment, onboarding, offboarding, and time-sensitive user requests. 2 Required Experience following security procedures for account access, device handling, data protection, privileged support, and incident escalation. 2 Preferred Experience with Dell, Apple/iOS, Windows, Intune, Teams Rooms, mobile devices, loaner pools, warranty repair coordination, or equivalent technologies. 2 Preferred Experience supporting public sector, cyber, emergency operations, law enforcement, or regulated environments. 1 Preferred Experience supporting secure conference rooms, hybrid meetings, executive briefings, and collaboration equipment readiness. 1 Preferred CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, ITIL, HDI, or comparable certification or equivalent demonstrated experience.
