Job description
The QA Technician II is responsible for supporting quality assurance processes by performing inspections, verifying materials, and ensuring products meet established standards. This role works closely with senior technicians and plays a key part in maintaining quality throughout the production process.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $23.25 - $27.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Primary Duties - Quality Assurance
- Perform repetitive inspections and assessments using established QA methods
- Verify incoming components and raw materials match purchase order requirements
- Review freight bills and packing lists for accuracy
- Conduct basic visual inspections of materials and products
- Initiate claims for products damaged during transit
- Escalate non-conforming materials to senior technicians for resolution
- Inspect products and materials for internally reported variances
- Assist with outgoing product inspections alongside senior QA staff
- Accurately enter data into company databases
- Maintain documentation and follow record-keeping procedures
Additional Responsibilities
- Transport materials throughout the plant using:
- Reach truck
- Forklift
- Electric pallet jack
- Maintain adherence to production schedules and expectations
- Support overall quality and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Basic QA experience including:
- Print reading
- Finishing knowledge
- Defect recognition
- Experience using inspection tools such as:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Thread plug and ring gages
- ID/OD ring gages
- Familiarity with electronic data collection systems and SPC software (Quantum SPC preferred)
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Strong math, reading, and writing skills

- Must meet pre-employment screening requirements
