ColdFusion Architect

Staff augmentation providing application development, enhancement, support, ongoing maintenance, mentoring and architecting expertise in a Cold Fusion and SQL Server environment, as well as migration and support of MS Access and Cold Fusion applications, and related Secure Software Development Lifecycle efforts and projects. Duties

• Evaluate existing and emerging technology, business requirements for the purpose of architecting efficient, portable and scalable solutions.
• Analysis, modeling, design, coding, testing and maintenance for all phases of development currently in a Cold Fusion and SQL Server based application environment and prospectively migrating to ITS supported technology other than Cold Fusion.
• Create documentation and technical How-To presentations as necessary related to application architecture and applications developed and maintained in the environment.
• Document and track project and task progress via in house task system; participate in all phases of application development.
• Enhance and update application security employing secure development principles and leveraging features of development tools and frameworks; ensure database security and integrity; integrate appropriate authentication and authorization technologies supported by NYS.
• Support and debug application issues in the current and prospective environments.
• Participate in review, development and updates as necessary to application development standards.
• Meet and work with end-users to define, document and implement business requirements.
• SQL-Server database administration / database design and development for backend support of ColdFusion applications.
• Perform application platform upgrades and patching as needed and ensure security vulnerabilities are identified are addressed.

• Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system., * This is an 100% Onsite.
• 84 Months Experience with ColdFusion administration / programming.
• 84 Months Experience with Microsoft IIS web server administration.
• 84 Months Experience with SQL-Server administration / database design & development.
• 84 Months Experience with SQL-Server development tool set including Management Studio and Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) for Integration Services (SSIS).
• 72 Months Experience working with end-users to assess business needs, translate needs into application requirements and use those requirement specifications to architect, develop and maintain ColdFusion applications.
• 60 Months Experience mentoring and training technical staff.
• 84 Months Experience coding / or Java, including experience migrating applications to frameworks and technologies such as .NET or Java.
• 84 Months Experience using source code controller like VSS, CVS, GITHUB.
• 48 Months Experience coding Drupal / PHP.
• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science
