Job description
We are seeking a Senior CI/CD Platform Engineer to support and evolve the enterprise code management and automation ecosystem. This role focuses on CI/CD platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and modernization initiatives that enable scalable, secure, and efficient software delivery practices. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering and application teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines, improve operational performance, and support ongoing platform transformation across cloud and containerized environments., * Administer and support enterprise GitLab environments, ensuring stability, performance, and security
- Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve software delivery efficiency
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform and Ansible
- Partner with application and engineering teams to onboard projects and establish CI/CD best practices
- Create and maintain pipeline templates, runbooks, documentation, and operational standards
- Implement governance, security, and compliance controls across code and deployment workflows
- Automate operational processes, system maintenance tasks, and incident remediation activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD, platform, and migration-related issues in a timely manner
- Support cloud, container, and platform modernization initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve development and deployment practices
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- GitLab Certified Administrator certification is highly desirable
- 5+ years of experience in Software Configuration Management, DevOps, or related disciplines
- Strong experience administering and supporting GitLab in an enterprise environment
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Knowledge of container platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift
- Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and DevOps principles
- Experience with branching strategies such as GitFlow and GitLab Flow
- Experience configuring and managing GitLab runners, groups, projects, and permissions at scale
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical teams
- Availability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
- Some experience with JFrog administration
- Experience supporting GitLab Self-Managed environments
- Experience with build, release, and software quality management practices
- Knowledge of Agile, CI, and CD practices
- Experience with scripting or programming knowledge to support automation and tooling initiatives
