Job description
A respected global manufacturer serving the machining industry is seeking a Machinist Technical Support Associate to join its collaborative and highly tenured team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a machining professional who enjoys problem-solving, customer interaction, and helping others succeed.
Please note: This is NOT an IT Technical Support position. This role combines machining expertise with customer support and technical product knowledge.
What You’ll Do
As part of a collaborative technical support team, you’ll work directly with customers, distributors, and sales professionals to provide machining solutions and exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Recommend cutting tools and machining solutions based on customer applications.
- Explain product features, specifications, and benefits.
- Prepare quotations and provide delivery information.
- Troubleshoot machining challenges and offer technical solutions.
- Respond to phone calls, emails, website inquiries, and chat inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Support milling, drilling, tapping, threading, and related applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction.
- Build strong relationships through responsive and professional communication., * CNC Setup Technicians

Requirements
Do you have experience in Productivity software?, * Minimum of five years of experience in one of the following:
- CNC machining
- Machine shop operations
- Industrial distribution supporting metal cutting and tooling solutions
- Manufacturing technology education combined with relevant experience
- Strong understanding of machining processes and cutting tool applications.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- CAD/CAM exposure.
- CNC programming familiarity.
- Experience machining a variety of metals and materials.
- Cutting tool sales or technical sales experience.
- Experience with ERP or CRM systems.
Ideal Backgrounds, Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and be able to reliably commute to the Central Massachusetts office location.
