Job description

Designs products and their corresponding manufacturing processes. Transitions product from design to manufacturing at scale. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, resolving problems while consulting with management and continues to provide product technical support throughout the products’ life cycle., * Design and develop mechanical products by conforming to product specification, cost targets, studying customer requirements, researching and testing in manufacturing settings.

  • Create all the technical documents required to specify the product including: 3D part drawings; assembly drawings complete with torque and adhesive call-outs; inspection criteria; assembly tooling and work instructions.

  • Assures product quality by designing life and performance test methods, testing finished products and confirming compliance to local, federal and international standards. Test competitive products to ensure Dynabrade products have a competitive edge.

  • Report and Document - all documentation to follow Dynabrade’s systematic revisions program and recognized standards.

  • Information to be shared as required with other departments.

  • Project planning and scheduling as required.

  • Support - Provide product support throughout products life cycle.

  • Communicate effectively with management and other support participants to provide assistance and technical support.

  • Controls project plan and costs by reviewing design, specifications and schedule with management.

Requirements

  • Reports should be technically written and recorded though use of Microsoft Office products.

  • Willingness and enthusiasm to complete tasks in a professional manner.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, Word and Teams.

  • A desire to increase knowledge by learning new technology or processes.

  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously and see through to manufacturing completion.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • BS in Engineering minimum.

  • 5 or more years related work experience preferred.

  • Technical writing skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to create and read engineering drawings.

  • Proficient in CAD software, SolidWorks experience desired.

  • Physical demands are nominal but at times require good flexibility and strength.

  • Proven team player who proactively communicates with all stake holders.

  • Demonstrate good team skills by carrying full share of workload and being pleasant to work alongside.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Creativity.

Benefits & conditions

$78,000 to $95,000 per year
