Job description

  • Legacy Modernization: Convert legacy SAS code and queries into optimized SSIS packages and modern reporting dashboards.
  • Data Parsing: Extract and process complex healthcare data structures including XML, CSV, and HL7 messages.
  • System Integrity: Proactively monitor production environments to maximize system uptime and troubleshoot data processing issues.

Requirements

We are looking for a self-motivated technical lead to drive critical data migration and infrastructure modernization projects., * SQL Server & T-SQL: Advanced querying, stored procedures, and query optimization (3+ years).

  • ETL & Staging: Robust data integration, staging, quality, and pipeline development (3+ years).
  • Relational Databases: Strong data warehousing concepts using MS SQL Server 2016+ (3+ years).
  • Data Formats: Professional experience parsing XML (3+ years) and HL7 v2.x / ORU Messages (1+ year).
  • SSIS & Reporting: Practical development, debugging, and optimization in SSIS (1+ year).
  • Compliance: Clear understanding of data classification standards (HIPAA, PHI, PII) (1+ year).

Preferred Extensions (Bonus Skills):

  • Legacy SAS code conversion and scripting.
  • Experience with Public Health or Disease Surveillance data systems.
  • Familiarity with clinical coding standards (LOINC / SNOMED).
  • Handling massive data sets (1 TB+)., * Exceptional communication skills with the ability to bridge technical gaps between peers, vendors, and end-users.
  • Comfortable working under limited supervision to research, design, and specify data flows independently.
  • Pre-employment compliance includes standard 7-year background/credit screenings and a drug-free affidavit.
