  • Perform bleed-air versus bleedless architecture analyses and provide recommendation packages.
  • Evaluate electrical architecture alternatives and system integration impacts.
  • Assess anti-ice system architecture concepts and performance tradeoffs.
  • Develop controls architecture concepts, functional requirements, and interface definitions.
  • Conduct pack sizing, heat exchanger, cooling, and airflow optimization studies.
  • Define and evaluate figures of merit including performance, weight, cost, reliability, maintainability, safety, and certification impacts.
  • Perform sensitivity analyses and document assumptions, methodologies, and results.

Systems Engineering & Requirements

  • Support ECS requirements development, decomposition, allocation, and traceability.
  • Create system architecture descriptions, functional block diagrams, and interface definitions.
  • Maintain requirements and verification artifacts using requirements management tools.
  • Support configuration management and document control processes.

Certification & Compliance Support

  • Support certification planning activities for ECS-related systems and functions.
  • Contribute to certification plans, means of compliance, compliance matrices, and verification documentation.

  • 14 CFR / CS 25.1438 and related environmental system requirements
  • Prepare analysis reports, compliance summaries, and authority submittal documentation.
  • Support technical reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and certification reviews.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with propulsion, loads, avionics, structures, safety, flight operations, and certification teams.
  • Present technical recommendations and decision-ready materials to program stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistency between trade study outcomes, system requirements, and certification objectives.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Thermal control?, * Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.

  • 5+ years of aerospace engineering experience.
