Job description

  • Design, deploy, and support scalable cloud infrastructure using best practices in security, cost optimization, and reliability.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline).
  • Help establish and promote Cloud-Native Architecture and microservices-based design.
  • Build, secure, and monitor containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS/ECS.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and scaling cloud environments.
  • Integrate APIs using JSON, XML, and GraphQL, ensuring smooth connectivity between systems and services.
  • Implement observability and logging best practices using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Datadog.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment with compliance, governance, and FinOps standards.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and advise on adoption strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) - AWS Solutions Architect certification is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm), and serverless computing (Lambda, Cloud Functions).
  • Experience building and managing IaC solutions (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
  • Proficiency with Python, Bash, or PowerShell for scripting and automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL, such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB).
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security best practices.
  • Location: Candidates must be local to Massachusetts; this position requires some onsite work.

Benefits & conditions

Pay Range: $55-$100/hr, depending on experience.
