Job description

The Software Architect will provide staff augmentation including application development, enhancement, support, maintenance, mentoring, and architecting expertise within an Oracle Java application environment and related Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) efforts., * Evaluate existing and emerging technologies and business requirements to architect efficient, portable, and scalable solutions.

  • Analyze, model, design, code, test, and maintain all phases of development within an Oracle Java and PL/SQL application environment.
  • Create documentation and technical “How-To” presentations for applications maintained by the Applications unit.
  • Document and track project progress via an in-house task system, and participate in all development phases.
  • Enhance application security utilizing the Oracle Java ADF framework, integrated database policy code, OID/LDAP, database triggers, and PL/SQL packages.
  • Support and debug applications running on Oracle OAS 10g with Portal, Oracle WebLogic 10g, and newer versions.
  • Support legacy and existing applications developed using JDeveloper 9i, 10g, 11g against 10g databases, integrated with 11g data warehouses, and Oracle Reports.
  • Meet and collaborate with end-users to define, document, and implement business requirements.
  • Guide and mentor junior development staff.

  • Role Expectation: Must be able to make high-level design choices, dictate technical standards (tools, coding standards, platforms), and design multi-leveled architectures for large-scale software systems.
  • Skill Level: Expert (84+ months of experience providing guidance to large teams and acting as a top-tier industry expert).

Technical Requested Qualifications

  • Oracle Java Architecture: 84 months of experience as a technical architect designing, managing, and developing Oracle Java (J2EE) web applications using middleware components like ADF, SOA/BPM, and supporting applications on ADF 10g or higher.
  • Lead Java Development: 84 months of experience as a lead Java web developer directly designing, creating, troubleshooting, and maintaining Java web applications, including integration with LDAP/OID and using VPD, PL/SQL packages, views, and triggers.
  • Oracle JDeveloper: 84 months of experience developing web applications using Oracle JDeveloper 9i, 10g, or higher, including configuring BC components, data sources, and ADF security.
  • Mentoring & Training: 60 months of experience training and mentoring technical/programming staff via demonstrations, multi-staff workshops, and individual mentoring sessions.
  • Oracle ADF & BPM: 60 months of experience with Oracle ADF and its integration with Oracle BPM process flow applications.
  • SDLC Process: 60 months of experience working across all phases of the systems development life cycle.
  • Secure Healthcare App Development: 60 months of experience developing secure Java applications designed to collect highly sensitive health information.
  • SQL/PL/SQL: 48 months of experience writing complex SQL or PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions.
  • Web Services: 48 months of experience designing, developing, and maintaining web services deployed on a WebLogic Server platform.
  • Education: Bachelor’’s Degree in Computer Science.
