AWS Application Architect

We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Application Architect to lead the design, migration, and modernization of enterprise applications on AWS Cloud. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecting and executing large-scale application migration initiatives from on-premises environments to AWS, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, infrastructure teams, and project managers to define cloud strategies and drive successful cloud transformation initiatives., * Lead the assessment, planning, and execution of application migrations to AWS Cloud.

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures on AWS.
• Develop cloud migration strategies, including rehosting, re-platforming, refactoring, and modernization approaches.
• Evaluate existing applications and provide recommendations for cloud readiness and optimization.
• Define architecture standards, best practices, and governance for AWS environments.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native solutions.
• Ensure applications adhere to security, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Optimize AWS environments for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and migration roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and application teams.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to cloud migration and application architecture.

Candidates must have strong, hands-on experience in Application Migration to AWS/Cloud and should have successfully led or architected multiple large-scale cloud migration projects., * Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in application architecture, software engineering, or cloud solutions architecture.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services and solutions.
• Proven experience leading enterprise application migration projects to AWS Cloud.
• Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies and frameworks.
• Expertise in AWS services.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native application design.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of security best practices, disaster recovery, and high availability architectures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams., * AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Experience with application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in highly regulated or enterprise environments.
