Data Analysis Information Technology

Job description

A remote data analyst internship gives you the opportunity to work with real companies on live big data projects and business intelligence initiatives from anywhere in the world. You’ll develop practical technical skills, build a strong portfolio, and gain credible professional experience that employers value, without needing to relocate or compete for highly competitive graduate schemes.

Our program places you in analytical roles where you’ll contribute from day one across key functions such as data engineering, product analytics, quantitative analysis, operations tracking, and metrics reporting. You’ll gain exposure to fast-growing startups, fintech environments, consulting firms, and global companies where 80% of business leaders attribute improved decision-making directly to data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • During your remote data analytics internship, you may work on:
  • Data Collection & Management: Clean, transform, and manage data extracted from relational databases, spreadsheets, and warehouses.
  • Data Visualisation & Dashboards: Design and maintain interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Statistical Analysis & Scripting: Write basic SQL queries or utilize Python/R to manipulate datasets, perform exploratory data analysis, and uncover trends.
  • Business Intelligence & Reporting: Turn complex datasets into actionable reports and slide decks to help executive teams make sound financial and operational decisions.
  • Product & Marketing Metrics: Track user behaviour and product performance using digital analytics platforms like Google Analytics.
  • Process Optimisation: Identify bottlenecks in data pipelines and assist in refining internal reporting workflows.

What You’ll Gain

  • Practical Technical & Soft Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables), SQL querying, Python/R scripting, and stakeholder data presentation.
  • International Exposure: Experience working with data-driven companies across London, New York, and Singapore, three of the world’s leading technology and business hubs.
  • A Technical Portfolio: Real project outputs such as clean code scripts, automated reporting pipelines, and interactive visualisation dashboards.
  • A Professional Reference: A formal host company reference letter to strengthen your graduate data science and engineering job applications.
