Job description

Nationwide IT Services is seeking an Apple/macOS Subject Matter Expert to support the J7 endpoint-engineering team. This role focuses on macOS imaging, JAMF management, Apple device lifecycle support, and integration of Apple endpoints into secure enterprise environments., * Build, maintain, validate, and automate macOS workstation images.

  • Manage macOS endpoints using JAMF Pro and Apple Business Manager.
  • Support image version control, rollback planning, and formal change-control processes.
  • Integrate macOS images with VDI, EDR, authentication, logging, and security tools.
  • Configure and support FileVault, recovery-key escrow, and passwordless or hardware-backed authentication.
  • Ensure endpoint solutions meet audit, governance, and compliance requirements. *

Requirements

  • 8+ years of IT, endpoint, or cybersecurity experience.
  • 6+ years of engineering experience; help desk experience alone does not qualify.
  • Experience working under formal change control, audit, and governance processes.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining macOS workstation images.
  • Experience with JAMF Pro, Apple Business Manager, FileVault, and macOS endpoint management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; may be waived based on experience at the government’s discretion.
  • JAMF or Apple certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with Intune for macOS and endpoint logging into Microsoft Sentinel.
