Job description

As a Senior Automation Tester (AI & Gherkin-Based Testing) at Gainwell, you will focus on leading end-to-end testing for complex, integrated systems by designing automation frameworks (using Gherkin/BDD) and ensuring accuracy across AI-generated requirements, data validation, and business logic. It also involves driving defect management and collaborating across teams to ensure high-quality, reliable system performance and readiness.

Your role in our mission

  • Lead the design and execution of test strategies for end-to-end transaction flows across integrated systems
  • Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Gherkin (BDD) aligned with business requirements
  • Validate AI-generated requirements and test scenarios, ensuring accuracy of business rules, data mappings, and eligibility logic
  • Perform data validation and integration testing across complex processing flows, including batch and real-time systems
  • Drive defect management, regression testing, and traceability from requirements to test outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support performance validation and overall solution readiness

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in software testing, including automation, integration, and system testing
  • Hands-on experience with BDD frameworks and automation tools (e.g., Cucumber, Selenium)
  • Experience testing complex multi-system integrations, APIs, and data processing workflows
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and validation of AI-generated test artifacts
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, data validation, and requirements-to-test traceability practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across business and technical teams

Benefits & conditions

The pay range for this position is $69,400.00 - $99,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
