Job description

Design, implement, and manage enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
Build reusable cloud platforms using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
Develop and maintain automated infrastructure deployment pipelines using Git-based workflows.
Automate provisioning, deployment, configuration, and operational tasks across cloud environments.
Create scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures.
Develop automation scripts using Python and Bash.
Partner with application teams to enable successful cloud adoption and provide platform support.
Design and maintain CI/CD-driven infrastructure deployments.
Implement cloud governance, security, networking, monitoring, and operational best practices.
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), architecture documentation, and operational runbooks.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across cloud initiatives.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Cloud Engineer/Architect to design, build, automate, and manage enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong architectural expertise and the ability to build scalable cloud platforms that enable application teams to efficiently leverage Google Cloud Platform services.

The ideal candidate has deep experience with cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps automation, networking, and cloud platform engineering while mentoring engineering teams and driving cloud best practices., * 8+ years of infrastructure/cloud engineering experience.

5+ years of hands-on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) experience.
Strong experience designing and managing enterprise Google Cloud Platform environments.
Expert-level Terraform experience for Infrastructure as Code.
Strong scripting experience with Python and Bash.
Experience with Git-based Infrastructure as Code workflows.
Experience implementing fully automated cloud deployments.
Strong DevOps engineering background.
Deep understanding of cloud networking, VPCs, routing, firewalls, load balancing, DNS, IAM, and security.
Experience building cloud platforms rather than only supporting applications.
Strong troubleshooting and production support skills.
Ability to mentor engineers and establish cloud engineering best practices.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Kubernetes (GKE).
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
Knowledge of cloud security and governance frameworks.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud environments.
