Job description
Evaluate the current architecture and implementation with a focus on the Appian toolset to determine feasibility and level of effort for integrating with Appian and/or converting key components to a native Appian implementation.
· Conduct a comprehensive review of our current application architecture, including:
· Web applications built with Angular
· iOS and Android mobile applications
· REST-based communication with backend services
· Backend services accessed through a common API Gateway
· Java and Spring Boot service layer running on AWS EKS (Kubernetes) with AWS EC2 nodes
· Database systems including MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, and Redis
· Analyze the functionality, complexity, and interdependencies of existing applications and services.
· Evaluate the capabilities and limitations of the Appian low-code/no-code platform in relation to our current architecture.
· Identify components and features that can be easily transitioned to the Appian platform, providing detailed justifications for each recommendation.
· Highlight aspects of our current system that may not be well-suited for transition to Appian, explaining the technical challenges or limitations involved.
· Assess potential risks and propose mitigation strategies for the migration process.
· Collaborate with development teams, architects, and business stakeholders to gather insights and validate findings.
· Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership, providing clear, actionable insights to guide decision-making.
· Create detailed documentation of the analysis process, findings, and recommendations for future reference.

Core Java
3 to 5 years, · Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on enterprise applications.
· Expertise and hands-on experience with the Appian low-code/no-code platform.
· Expertise in RESTful API design and implementation.
· Proficiency with Java and Spring Boot framework.
· Understanding of Angular, iOS, and Android application development.
· Experience with AWS services, particularly EKS and EC2.
· Familiarity with various database systems, including MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, and Redis.
· Knowledge of microservices architecture and API Gateway patterns.
· Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, Appian).
· Knowledge of additional low-code/no-code platforms for comparative analysis.
· Understanding of industry best practices in application modernization and cloud migration.
Education Level: Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
