Oracle ATG Java Developer

The ATG Java Developer will support the design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of eCommerce web applications within the automotive retail industry. This role will work on digital commerce platforms used to support online product search, shopping, and purchasing experiences for tire-related products. This developer will join an Agile pod working in two-week sprint cycles and partner closely with frontend developers, managers, and other technical team members. The ideal candidate will have hands-on Java development experience, strong familiarity with eCommerce platforms, and experience working with Oracle Commerce / ATG. Exposure to search technologies and test automation is highly preferred, as the team is focused on improving automation and reducing reliance on manual testing. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support Java-based eCommerce applications within an Oracle Commerce / ATG environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues related to site functionality, product search, shopping workflows, and platform performance
• Support eCommerce capabilities tied to online product browsing, search, cart, checkout, and purchasing experiences
• Work closely with frontend developers, managers, and technical team members to deliver enhancements and resolve issues
• Participate in Agile development activities, including two-week sprint planning, development, testing, and support
• Assist with automation initiatives and help reduce manual testing where possible
• Support integration points between backend Java services, frontend applications, and search-related technologies
• Use tools such as Jira, Git, and Bitbucket for tracking work, managing source code, and collaborating with the team
• Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards and best practices
• Document technical changes, issue resolutions, and development activities as needed
• Perform additional duties as required

• Hands-on Java development experience
• Experience working with Oracle Commerce / ATG
• Experience developing or supporting eCommerce websites or online retail applications
• Understanding of how eCommerce platforms support product search, browsing, cart, checkout, and purchasing workflows
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a remote team environment Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of Java development experience, preferably within eCommerce or enterprise web application environments
• Experience with Oracle Commerce / ATG development or support
• Familiarity with search technologies, preferably within an eCommerce setting
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, or frontend integration points is a plus
• Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium is preferred
• Experience using Jira for issue tracking and sprint management
• Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, or similar source control tools
• Ability to work independently in a remote/offshore environment while collaborating closely with a broader technical team
