Job description

The Endeca Support Developer will provide support and troubleshooting for a business-critical eCommerce platform used within the automotive retail industry. This platform supports online product search and purchasing functionality for tire-related products and is built within an Oracle Commerce / ATG environment, with Endeca serving as the search engine. This role is focused on application support, issue resolution, and platform stability rather than new feature development or architecture. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Oracle Commerce / ATG and Endeca environments, along with hands-on Java experience and a strong understanding of eCommerce platforms. This person will work closely with technical teams to troubleshoot issues, support ongoing production needs, and help ensure the platform continues to operate effectively. Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for an eCommerce platform built on Oracle Commerce / ATG and Endeca
  • Investigate and resolve production issues related to site functionality, search, product data, and platform performance
  • Support Endeca search functionality and help resolve issues impacting the customer search experience
  • Work with Java-based applications and Oracle Commerce components to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve platform issues
  • Partner with internal technical teams, managers, and other stakeholders to understand support needs and resolve problems efficiently
  • Monitor recurring issues and assist with root-cause analysis to improve platform stability
  • Support ongoing maintenance activities within the existing application environment
  • Document issues, resolutions, and support processes as needed
  • Participate in an Agile team environment and assist with support-related activities during sprint cycles
  • Perform additional duties as required

Requirements

Must Have Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Commerce / ATG
  • Experience supporting or working with Endeca search
  • Java experience, preferably within an application support or troubleshooting environment
  • Experience supporting eCommerce platforms or online retail applications
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with technical and non-technical teams, * 3-5 years of experience in application support, eCommerce support, or Java-based web application support
  • Experience working within Oracle Commerce / ATG environments
  • Familiarity with Endeca search and related support activities
  • Understanding of eCommerce platforms, product search, and online purchasing workflows
  • Experience working in Agile environments is preferred
  • Familiarity with Jira, Git, Bitbucket, or similar tools is a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating closely with a broader technical team
