Platform Engineer

• Build and support platform services including Kubernetes, containers, and VM infrastructure.
• Develop and execute automation solutions for deployments, upgrades, and large-scale infrastructure changes using tools like Ansible and scripting.
• Support and improve platform environments by building workflows that reduce manual work and increase efficiency.
• Contribute to AI-driven automation initiatives, working with agent-based workflows and intelligent orchestration.
• Leverage AI tools to support troubleshooting, enhance operational efficiency, and improve platform automation processes.
• Monitor platform health, respond to alerts, and perform root cause analysis.
• Maintain and support CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and ArgoCD.
• Document runbooks and operational procedures.

• Ability to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized environments and understand end-to-end platform service operations.
• 3+ years of experience in Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS).

Automation Mindset & Skills:

• Experience with or exposure to infrastructure automation, scripting, or orchestration.
• Thinks in terms of scaling solutions rather than performing manual tasks.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and AWX.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting.

AI Readiness:

• Comfort and interest in learning and working with AI tools and concepts for automation.
• Familiarity with AI assistants (like GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q), AIOps concepts, and AI agent frameworks is beneficial.
