Job description

New Resource Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturing business in Westbury to appoint a hands-on IT Manager who can combine technical delivery with strategic leadership.

This is a standalone IT leadership role, where you will take full ownership of the site’s IT environment, combining operational delivery, infrastructure management, and digital transformation leadership.

You will act as the key IT partner to the business, ensuring technology not only runs smoothly day-to-day but also drives efficiency, innovation, and long-term growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and real ownership of an IT function.

37.5 hours Hybrid (2 days home / 3 days site) Flexible hours

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading all site IT operations, infrastructure, and cybersecurity

  • Acting as the primary IT business partner to senior leadership

  • Delivering IT and digital transformation projects end-to-end

  • Managing ERP systems, business applications, and cloud services

  • Supporting and developing the IT Support function

  • Driving automation, AI, and efficiency initiatives

  • Managing IT security, compliance, and governance standards

  • Owning the IT budget and supplier relationships

  • Collaborating with operations teams to improve systems and performance

Requirements

  • Experience in an IT Manager, Senior IT Engineer, or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud, and cybersecurity

  • Experience supporting business systems (e.g. ERP, CRM, applications)

  • Ability to manage IT projects and work with stakeholders at all levels

  • Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills

  • IT certifications (ITIL, Microsoft, AWS, PRINCE2 etc.) desirable but not essential

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related subject desirable but not essential
