Job description

Hiring! Cisco Network (mid level) System Admin for our direct Client. The selected candidate wiil be responsible for managing and optimizing the performance of complex networks. This role involves planning and executing network upgrades, resolving advanced issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business needs. This role requires strong communications and problem-solving skills to effectively execute networking projects and streamline processes., * Designs, implements, and manages LAN/WAN infrastructure and services.

  • Performs advanced troubleshooting for Tier II and some Tier III helpdesk tickets and provides resolutions to complex network issues. Escalates incidents as necessary.
  • Analyzes network performance and recommends improvements.
  • Configures, maintains, and monitors routers, switches, telephone systems, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking components.
  • Monitors for security threats and Implements security best practices to network infrastructure.
  • Creates and maintains accurate documentation of network systems and procedures.
  • Works and stewards relationships with outside agencies or vendors for support issues relating to enterprise systems.
  • Researches emerging technologies to enhance network performance and provide operating efficiencies.
  • Mentors junior team members and provides technical guidance.
  • Maintains high level of adherence to cybersecurity principles, ethics practices, and company policies.
  • Travels to remote sites as needed to provide on-site support.
  • Required to complete occasional evening and weekend work as part of an on-call rotation schedule to meet deadlines or address emergencies as needed.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree and/or 5+ years of network engineering experience.
  • Valid driver s license.
  • Holds relevant certifications required for the team s need or directed by management.
  • Strong understanding of configuring network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, SD Wan, etc.) and cloud-based networking.
  • Proficiency in configuring Cisco/Juniper or equivalent network equipment.
  • Experience with network monitoring and security tools.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Knowledge of ITIL 4 processes preferred.
