Job description
We are seeking a forward-thinking Manager of IT Innovation to lead the design, development, and delivery of modern technology solutions that drive operational efficiency, enhance member experience, and support organizational growth.
In this highly visible role, you will act as the strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams-transforming ideas into scalable, impactful solutions. You will lead a talented team of software developers and systems analysts while championing digital transformation, automation, artificial intelligence, and continuous process improvement.
Location/Schedule:

Hybrid schedule with up to 3 days/week at our corporate office in Fort Worth, TX
-
Monday - Friday 08:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Delivery
-
Lead, coach, and develop a team of five (5) software developers and systems analysts
-
Oversee systems architecture, application development, business analysis, and process improvement initiatives
-
Partner closely with senior leadership, IT teams, business units, and external vendors
-
Manage project delivery, resource allocation, and prioritization across initiatives
-
Serve as a key escalation point to ensure successful delivery of projects and sprint commitments

Drive performance management, hiring, and talent development
Innovation & Architecture

Define and implement enterprise application architecture strategies and standards
-
Develop technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives and emerging technology trends
-
Research and evaluate new technologies, identifying practical applications and business value

Lead prototyping and proof-of-concept efforts to validate solutions
Development & Business Engagement

Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and identify opportunities for improvement

Oversee system design, development, testing, and deployment of applications
-
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational goals

Guide business process re-engineering, automation, and digital transformation initiatives
Quality, Governance & Compliance

Establish and enforce QA standards across all deliverables
-
Lead architecture governance and ensure adherence to development standards
-
Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and data security standards
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelorās degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
-
7+ years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT leadership
-
Proven experience leading design, development, and implementation of complex technology solutions
-
Experience in application architecture, system design, and integration
-
Experience in modern development frameworks and tools (e.g., .NET/C#, Angular, APIs, microservices)
-
Experience in SQL databases, data modeling, and performance optimization
-
Experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools
-
Experience in Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate) and enterprise integration
-
Experience in Cloud or hybrid environments
Preferred Qualifications
-
Masterās degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
-
Experience in financial services or credit union environments
Responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg B, Reg Z, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Service Members Civil Relief, and FCRA/FACTA. Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.

Requirements
