Job description

Our Client is seeking a Cloud Architect to lead the definition, design, implementation, and governance of cloud strategies across public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments. This role provides technical leadership in cloud architecture, infrastructure, security, governance, automation, AI enablement, and operational excellence. The Cloud Architect ensures cloud solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, cost-effective, and aligned with business and technology objectives. You will be responsible for developing and executing cloud adoption, modernization, and migration strategies, establishing governance frameworks, and promoting automation and Infrastructure as Code practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft Azure (with additional experience in AWS or Google Cloud Platform as a plus), strong knowledge of cloud security, identity, and compliance, and a proven track record in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Key competencies include enterprise architecture design, strategic planning, cloud governance, DevOps, and leadership. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and compliant cloud solutions aligned with business objectives., * Design and implement scalable, highly available, resilient, and secure cloud architectures

  • Develop and execute cloud adoption, modernization, and migration strategies
  • Define cloud governance frameworks, standards, policies, and architectural best practices
  • Establish Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards and promote automation across cloud environments
  • Architect hybrid and multi-cloud solutions supporting enterprise workloads
  • Design and implement cloud identity and access management (IAM) strategies, including role-based access control (RBAC), privileged access management (PAM), identity federation, and identity governance
  • Develop cloud security architectures using Zero Trust principles and ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards
  • Create, maintain, and enforce cloud guardrails, policies, management groups, subscription/account structures, resource organization, tagging standards, and compliance reporting
  • Define governance and technical pathways for AI adoption, including onboarding new AI services across cloud platforms and SaaS solutions
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, AI capabilities, and platform services to drive innovation and continuous improvement
  • Optimize cloud spending through FinOps practices, cost governance, and resource optimization
  • Design and enable CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevSecOps practices
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate cloud-related risks, including security, compliance, operational, resiliency, vendor, and financial risks
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application development, data, and business teams to deliver cloud solutions that meet enterprise objectives
  • Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and mentorship to engineering and operations teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3-5 years designing and implementing cloud solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure; AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, networking, and distributed systems
  • Experience designing and supporting hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  • Experience with containerization technologies and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep)
  • Experience with scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
  • Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, identity, governance, and compliance
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect) preferred
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.)
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) preferred
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML services is a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud monitoring, observability, and logging platforms
  • Experience implementing FinOps governance and cloud cost optimization strategies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
