Job description
We have an exciting Reliability Engineer role to join our Taw Valley Creamery team. This is especially exciting as the creamery is undergoing a major transformation, thanks to a £179 million investment. As this project evolves and the site expands so will the opportunities to make an impact. How you will make an impact You will have a strong background as a Reliability Engineer, leading technical reliability improvement and modification projects, as well as site implementation of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM). You will be responsible for ensuring the competence of site area technicians in areas such as root cause failure analysis, reliability engineering, and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
Lead the technical reliability & continuous improvement agenda across the site, by designing the M&E strategy for its entire asset management aiming for OEE, material loss and cost optimization; Early equipment management leadership working closely with the Capex project managers to enable all reliability resources of a new project is in place, supporting FAT, SAT, Commissioning, Engineering validations and qualifications in different phases (design, installation and operation). Optimise PM design aiming to improve reliability KPI (Unplanned Downtime, Technical uptime, MTBF, MTTR, Maintenance compliance) by reliability methodologies (Lubrication management, Condition monitoring, RCM / Criticality analysis and FMECA). Leadership and develop the reliability program. Make the Major Incident Report (MIR), develop and implement RCA (Root Cause Analysis) tool, follow up to countermeasures results from RCA. Develop plans through a robust ‘Reliability’ function, to move R&M spends from ‘break-down’ to ‘preventive’ to ‘predictive’, positively impacting asset reliability with optimum costs.
Requirements
As the ideal candidate, you will possesses advanced and well-developed skills and knowledge within a specific discipline, which have been acquired through either significant years of experience. You will have a relevant skilled background in Maintenance, Technical, or Engineering education, such as qualifications in Automation Technology, Maintenance Technology, Utilities Engineering, or similar fields. The technical and maintenance expertise includes working with automation, process, or utility equipment in accordance with their area of specialism. Additionally, you will have experience with thermal energy, electricity, water usage, gas, compressed air, boiler and steam systems, and preferably cooling systems.
