Software Developer Engineer 4

Support the Engineering Analytics team within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS). Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that meet customer, safety, regulatory, and industry standards. Develop and maintain data analysis tools and environments. Translate customer requirements into software designs and system integrations. Develop, document, and maintain software architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs. Participate in Agile software development activities including sprint planning, reviews, and customer meetings. Debug and resolve software issues to ensure system reliability and performance. Support user inquiries, troubleshooting, and feedback analysis. Implement emerging technologies, frameworks, tools, and software development best practices. Develop and improve software processes, tools, and performance metrics. Execute software research and development projects. Support software project management and supplier management activities. Track software team and supplier performance to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Position is a non-managerial, non-leadership role with regular and predictable attendance required.

Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated polygraph (U.S. Citizenship required). 5+ years of foundational Computer Science experience. 3+ years of Python scripting experience. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes deployments. Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related field. Experience processing and transforming large quantities of timeseries data. Experience architecting microservice and n-tier software applications. Experience with Java and JavaScript/React. Experience with databases, Linux, and mTLS.
