Job description
The Global Product Manager - MIG/MAG Robotics & Automated Systems is responsible for the global strategy, development, and performance of EWM’s robotic and automated welding portfolio.
This role acts as the central interface between market, customers, R&D, sales, marketing, and production, ensuring a technologically leading and commercially successful product portfolio.
The role combines strategic product ownership, technology leadership, and cross-functional execution in a global matrix organization., Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Define and drive the global product strategy for robotic MIG/MAG and automation solutions
- Manage the full product lifecycle and portfolio performance
- Translate market trends and customer needs into product requirements (MRD/PRD)
- Prioritize innovation and value engineering initiatives
Technology & Market Intelligence
- Monitor trends in robotics, automation, Industry 4.0, and digital welding
- Conduct competitive analysis and identify growth opportunities
- Evaluate new application fields and emerging markets
Cross-Functional Development
- Partner with R&D to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Support development of welding processes, systems, and automation interfaces
- Lead validation, prototyping, and industrialization activities
- Contribute to cost, performance, and quality improvements
Go-to-Market & Sales Enablement
- Define global launch and positioning strategies
- Support sales teams with training, tools, and technical content
- Develop marketing and application materials
- Support key projects, tenders, and strategic opportunities
Customer & Partner Engagement
- Work closely with OEMs, integrators, and key customers
- Support automation projects and pilot installations
- Collect and integrate market feedback into product development
Business Ownership
- Ensure portfolio profitability, margins, and cost optimization
- Build business cases for new developments and investments
- Track KPIs, forecasts, and portfolio performance
Representation & Stakeholder Management
- Represent EWM at global events, exhibitions, and customer meetings
- Communicate product strategy and value propositions internally and externally

Requirements
Do you have experience in SAP EWM?, * Degree in engineering (welding, mechanical, electrical, automation or similar)
- Experience in MIG/MAG welding and/or robotic welding applications
- Strong understanding of industrial robotics (ABB, KUKA, FANUC, Yaskawa)
- Knowledge of automation, welding systems, and digital manufacturing trends
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to translate technical complexity into clear communication
- Proactive, structured, and international mindset
- Fluent English and German language knowledge are required
