Job description

Tired of sitting at a corporate helpdesk answering the same repetitive tickets all day? This isn’t your standard, passive IT role.

At EP Team, we are a market-leading event operations and technology business. We are looking for a practical, organized, and highly proactive IT Support Technician to take real ownership of our office IT, endpoint management, and live event technology.

Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, you will work closely with Product Leads and Event Managers to ensure our systems and equipment are ready, reliable, and field-tested for real-world event delivery. One day you’ll be configuring Microsoft Intune compliance profiles in the office; the next, you could be troubleshooting on-site Bag Drop PCs or event scanners trackside at a major venue like Wembley Stadium.

We need someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do-someone who spots a bottleneck, suggests a practical fix, and loves a hands-on challenge., * Manage and secure EP Team devices (laptops, tablets, phones, and scanners) using Microsoft Intune.

  • Enrol new devices, apply configuration/compliance policies, and keep all endpoints up to date.
  • Maintain a strict, accurate hardware asset register tracking equipment deployments.
  • Provide slick onboarding tech setups for new starters (M365 accounts, permissions, hardware, and access).
  • Deliver general IT troubleshooting across Microsoft 365, user permissions, hardware, screens, and printers.

Live Event Technology Support:

  • Prepare, configure, stress-test, and audit event scanners before and after major deployments.
  • Support on-site infrastructure including Smart Signs, Bag Drop PCs, temporary routers, cabling, and mobile networks.
  • Travel to venues to help deploy, test, and troubleshoot systems live under operational pressure.
  • Actively contribute to upgrading and re-engineering existing event technology setups (like our Bag Drop systems) to make them more efficient.

Security, Procurement & Admin:

Maintain a basic cyber security calendar, running routine checks (MFA audits, access reviews, software updates, and leaver account wipe routines).

  • Manage day-to-day IT procurement: sourcing quotes, ordering kit (peripherals, laptops, chargers, routers), monitoring warranties, and managing local stock levels.
  • Document technical processes and keep equipment guides clear and updated.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * Experience: Proven hands-on IT support experience, ideally within a fast-paced small business, operational, or event environment.

  • Technical Comfort: Solid familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft 365 administration, and general networking hardware. Experience with Microsoft Intune (or similar MDM) is a major advantage.
  • The “Proactive” Mindset: You don’t just close tickets; you investigate why a problem keeps happening and propose a long-term fix.
  • Logistics & Order: You are organized enough to keep racks of scanners, cables, chargers, and assets tidy and accounted for.
  • Communication: Confident working with both highly technical product teams and non-technical casual event staff, explaining things calmly and clearly.

Rota & Travel Requirements:

  • Comfortable working full-time out of our main office hub in Crick.
  • Willingness to travel to event venues nationwide when required.
  • Flexibility to support occasional evening and weekend operational delivery during peak event seasons.
  • A full UK driving licence is highly beneficial due to transporting equipment to venues.
