Job description

We are seeking a motivated and resourceful IT Technician to assist with setting up our new business’s IT infrastructure and to maintain all IT equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software, ensuring smooth daily operations, and providing technical support to staff., Set up and configure IT equipment including computers, printers, routers, and other peripherals.

Install and update software applications and operating systems.

Maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly.

Manage and monitor servers, network devices, and internet connectivity.

Ensure data security through regular backups and updates.

Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.

Keep an inventory of all IT equipment and manage procurement of new hardware/software.

Document IT procedures, configurations, and issues for future reference.

Assist in planning future IT needs as the business grows.

Follow other reasonable responsibilities related to IT and technology as assigned by management.

Perform other reasonable additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, which may not be explicitly reflected in this job description.

Other Responsibilities

Attending team meetings regularly.

Participating in any in-house training, as required.

Being familiar with the companies’ policies

Minute taking for meetings and distribution of minutes

Excellent telephone manner and accurate

Distributing internal and external post

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS?, Proven experience in setting up and maintaining IT equipment and systems.

Basic knowledge of networking, servers, and cybersecurity best practices.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of Windows and/or Mac OS environments.

Familiarity with cloud services and remote support tools.

Experience with small business IT setups.

Website development.
