Software Engineer

You will primarily be based at Alloyeds manufacturing site in Abingdon, collaborating closely with the mechanical engineering teams, reporting to the Head of Platform Development. A highly competitive remuneration package is offered, including equity incentives., * Design, develop and maintain modules within Alloyeds design platform

• Integrating modules into a secure, cloud based compute platform
• Work within a young, fast paced, agile development team in collaboration with aerothermal and mechanical engineers and technicians
• Define and implement software solutions to automate existing manual workflows
• Work collaboratively to solve complex problems with innovative solutions

Do you have experience in TypeScript?, Alloyed is seeking a motivated software engineer to support building this platform. The role involves close collaboration with aerothermal designers to productionise and generalise existing internal code and wrap commercial simulation tools into C++ C# modules. Finally, integrating the modules with automated workflows through a cloud compute infrastructure, automating our design processes., * Strong technical background with a degree in science, engineering or computer science 2:1 minimum

• Proficient in the use of C# or C++ and Python
• Excellent understanding of software design patterns, best practices and principles
• Highly effective communicator who encourages innovation through collaboration
• Natural problem solver with a desire to learn
• Organised and self motivated, able to own and independently manage large projects

• Familiarity with:
• Full stack development including Vue3, Typescript and Django
• AWS EKS deployments
• Machine learning model development
• Agentic AI pipeline development
